Gran's House is a special place, for myself and for any writing and recording artist. So much of my last two records have been created on the farm by the early Clyde, in the lap of Tinto. The house has a serenity, a peaceful energy that's gifted me many a song and I'll surely keep coming back to that place. The grand piano is a dream and the facilities are everything you'll need to work. Gran's greatest resource, however, is Angus Lyon. I've found Angus Lyon to be an extraordinary person to work with; a great ear, direct, creative and knowledgeable, a brilliant professional. Gran's House has been my favourite place to work and I'll look forward to my next visit.

Being able to escape everything and to shut yourself away for a few days surrounded by the stunning countryside whilst being totally immersed in writing and recording music was an incredible experience. Angus and Chris are both very talented and experienced musicians and producers and they have the finest of equipment and interesting musical gadgets! My band feel that we have found the most idyllic place with the best of musical equipment and experienced producers to help develop and record our music in the future. Thank you so much Angus and Chris, we will definitely be coming back to write and record some more.

Angus put us all at ease and really listened to our music and got into what we were looking for, helped craft the recording and made it such a joyous process. The space itself is chilled out, inspiring with great kit and feels like home instantly - perfect for three of us to stay for a couple of weeks. It's near enough to Biggar to get shopping and some time out if need be, but feels totally away from it all! I am so proud of what we created with Angus at Gran's House and can't even THINK of going anywhere else in the future.

Next week we'll be visiting the excellent Gran's House for the fourth time. Whether we're writing, recording or rehearsing, we know Gran's House is somewhere we can make it happen with all the rooms and the gear within being top-notch! Add to this the lovely surroundings, and a very comfortable stay, Gran's House is always our first choice when it comes to getting things done. The Transformers alone are a reason to visit!
